Add LFO Modulation to ANY parameter with Max for Live
There is this AWESOME Max for Live effect created by Monolake Allows you for add LFO Modulation to ANY parameter.
Just download it, extract it, and throw it into your Max Effects folder. I like to keep 'em organized by author.
It comes with 3 devices. LFO-One, LFO-Zero, and Modulator.
Now lets drop an Operator on a MIDI track, now drop LFO-One on it.
Under Track select operator
Under Device Select Operator
Under parameter select any parameter within operator.
I selected Osc-B Level for my example.
Now deselect LFO 3 ans LFO 2 to keep this simple for now.
Now you will be working with only one LFO waveform.
Ok so now on the right side the control knob will be your initial position and amount will be the modulation amount.
If you activate LFO 2 and/or 3 be default they will work together to modulate the parameter, if you switch it to FM the waveform will "morph" into eachother
Now LFO-Zero works just the same, but with only 1 waveform.
Lets load up a modulator now.
Set your Track, Device, And Parameter the same way as LFO-One, your control and amount, are the same as well.
Just click on the sequencer to adjust it.
Ok, so these are your BASIC controls in these devices, Just mess around a little and I'm sure you'll figure everything out. Its pretty straight forward.
Again, Cheers!
